$15M building permit issued for Kelowna’s new Canadian Tire store

Kelowna’s new Canadian Tire has received its building permits and is one step closer to relocation.

On June 27, a $15 million building permit was issued to applicant Turner Fleischer Architects Inc. and contractor Norson Construction.

The development permits for this massive new story was approved last August.

The new store will be going up on the former Costco site at the corner of Hwy 97 and Hwy 33.

In January 2023, the company submitted a development application proposing a 209,000 sq. ft. building with a retail component, an automotive service centre, garden centre and a warehouse.
